Panic at the Disco's Spencer Smith’s point of view
I was just about to call Ryan when my phone started ringing. You don’t really have to guess who it is. “What is it?” I asked. I can very much imagine the smile on Ryan’s face. “I asked her out!” “About time,” I replied. “That’s it?” he screamed.
“Well, what else did you want me to say?” I asked. “Something like good luck or some other thing that could help my nerves calm down for at least a second?” “Good luck then, I wanted to tell you something else though." I paused.
"You remember Althea’s brother I suppose?” “Of course!” he exclaimed at the other end. “He wants to try out as guitarist for the band.” “That sounds just as awesome as my date!” “I know so you better be here Saturday or else,” I tried to sound nasty.
“Okay, I get your point. See you tomorrow at school.” He hung up. How typical of that guy. Thank God, it’s Friday tomorrow. I think he’d be great. And finally, there’s actually someone to make my friend happy.
He deserves to be happy after everything that's happening to him. I can’t help but grimace at the thought of once pitying him. His dad’s usually drunk & his mom’s usually out making money for their family so they’re never really there for him.
Then there’s this girl who he first loved but broke his heart in a million pieces as he told me from whom he never heard from since the day she left him for somebody else. She didn’t know what she was losing probably at that time.
